Vps needed
Am I allowed to request quotes from hosting companies here?
Budget $20-30
30 GB
512 MB dedicated up to 2gb burst
250 GB Bandwidth
Cpanel
Migration
I would like semi managed or not managed that takes care of the server upgrades , install cpanel etc.
I would like a guaranteed port speed 5mbs,10mbs, etc.
So far Im thinking...fsckvps. $20 seems right to me.

that depends on what unmanaged is. I have never installed a control panel. Do you patch security updates?

unmanaged = you are responsible for everything except the network and the physical hardware the vps resides on. updates, patches, software, security, etc all your responsibility, for panels, some hosts provide OS templates with the panel pre-installed.

I'm currently with FsckVPS. Their service is good so far.
They provide you with HyperVM with a choice of 70 distros, which you can rebuild at any time. They also provide the Kloxo control panel, apart from that, you have to do everything yourself.

Seotrickguide;
You asked (before anything else)Am I allowed to request quotes from hosting companies here?
Quite simply no -- requests are not appropriate in any forum here.
I would have just linked the post but due to all my replies being in the ads forum (while I look for a host - 23 total) do not count toward lifting limitations I can't.
Read the forum rules as well. I do not mean to come off sounding like a complete jerk but it does answer your first question.

Honestly I don't think you would get 512 RAM burstable to 2 GB fro $20 - $30, at least not from a reliable provider.

well nonone offered me quotes anyway. But I did want some feedback on the smaller vps that advertise here.
I was looking for 512-1gb, I left the extra for good measure.
So far i can only verify fsckvps and others have recommended them too.
Im researching these right now.

You could also check into VPSSpeed as they have a Buy one (any size) get one (Mach 1) free. IMO great deal for the $$ but it is unmanaged - I f you can live with that I would do it. I was looking at Mach 4 (1gb Ram etc. for $27 but adding in 2 other things doubled the price. I know they have no control over other program's leasing prices but I am on a budget -- I may still do it anyways if I can work out something.
I plan on putting normal sites on M-4 and .mobi only ones on the free one being that mobile versions are limited in capabilities right now.
Good luck in your search.

Still looking with updated specs.
GEO: US/Eastcoast
Budget $20
Disk 25-30 GB
512 MB dedicated up to 1gb burst
250 GB Bandwidth
LXadmin
backups
I'm dropping CPANEL.
Reliability is a must and the reason for the switch.
Im up in the air with quillhost a bit cheaper, fscks better reputation. Any others in the $20 and under range I should look at?
i eliminated hostsnatch, dme hosting.

If you raise your budget a bit, you can start looking at more reliable hosting. $20 is too low for good hardware.
LXAdmin/Kloxo can be installed on any CentOS box pretty easily so unmanaged with a bit of setup help might be what you want.

Even after dropping cPanel you will still need to increase your budget.
