I am curious to know how many people have a netbook?
If so what make and model did you buy?
If you don't have a netbook are you considering purchasing one?
I don't own one but am considering purchasing a netbook.

I have a Aspire One AOA150-1546, and they are very useful when needed, but I don't find myself using it as often as I thought I would. I may just sell it after all!
Very useful if your around a Wifi area, but have to do work that would be too complicated/take too long to do on a phone for instance. It's quite small and battery life is usually around 4-5 hours depending on use.

Currently i don't have a netbook, i do have a laptop though. If i had a use for a ultra/portable i guess i'd get one however for me personally there is no issue carrying around something that is a few kgs heavier and slightly larger.

I may buy one simply because it's easy to carry around compared to a 15"+ laptop.

I have a HP 1030NR mini netbook. I love it, best investment for travel imo. Installed windows 7 RC1 on it, from a portable hard drive, and it runs just fine with 1gig ram.

I think something like a Dell XPS M1330 with a 13" LED screen is the best balance between a huge laptop and a netbook. It provides regular laptop performance at a very convenient size. I own one and can easily move it around.

If the NVIDIA Ion ever gets made into a netbook I would purchase one, or two in a heartbeat.

Samsung NC10.. Very nice netbook..
The only time I use it is if it's in an emergency, or for a few minutes before a flight..
Excellent battery life, gives me at least 4hrs..

Acer A150. 1.6Ghz Atom, 512mb RAM, 160GB HD. Came with Linux, I stuck Windows 7 on it (runs great).
One thing I'd say is get one with a big battery, or, budget for buying a bigger one. I only got the Acer as it was on a special offer at a price I couldn't refuse. If I was buying one at "normal" pricing, I would have went for the NC10 at the time due to its amazing battery life.

I have thought about buying a new netbook, but so far the generally-small screen sizes are turning me off.

Currently I am considering to buy Acer aspire one. Its linux version is cheap but storage is too low. But I will fix this problem by installing an 80GB hdd in to it.

If you are referring to the Acer Linux 8GB SSD drive (or any other acer SSD) if it's the Aspire One A110 then it takes 1.8" drives - it can't fit a standard 2.5" laptop HD.
The A150, which has HD's, has a "bump" on the bottom to accomodate the slightly larger drive.
