Cogent & Gaming

I seem to recall reading at some point in the past couple of years here that Cogent is a bad provider for bandwidth when it comes to Game Server. Im just wondering is this still true? And why?

Thanks
Steve

It has a bit of a negative touch to some people, because it is budget.
I still favour and look at companies with bandwidh providers like AT&T, Level3, TimeWarner, GlobalCrossing etc. but it is a bit of a personal choice & something you have to try yourself.
Cogent's network has improved the last few years for sure, latencies dropped, but still I personally prefer a premium provider.

Man Rob, having you around is great. Maybe there is someway you can just have WHT auto show my questions every time you login? That would be awesome

Thanks again!
Steve

Hehe, Everest .

Keep in mind that it is still an opinion, maybe someone else comes by and says (s)he loves Cogent for gaming.
I will just check your profile for threads started by you then .

It certainly can't hurt to have it in a mix with other providers, it has improve a lot over the last few years in my opinion, getting better as it goes along.
