PerlDesk... some strange problem..
Hey
I uploaded PerlDesk. And set permission to CHMOD 755 for all *.cgi files..
Installed it in /cgi-bin/perldesk/
Went to admin page(/cgi-bin/perldesk/admin.cgi)
LOGED IN as admin:demo
And i got redirected to /cgi-bin/perldesk/admin.cgi?do=main
And nothing happens... Just a white page with the following code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=koi8-r"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>
Any ideas why?

Seems that you have problem with template files, you should check to see if they are readable or not.

OK
I uploaded everything with ACII.
All permissions are set correct.
Now about installing.
I have uploaded PerlDesk into:
..../cgi-bin/helpdesk/
Data Path: /public_html/cgi-bin/helpdesk
Image URL: http://***/pics
Base URL: http://***/cgi-bin/helpdesk
... and all the rest..
Is that correct?
after i press 'Import Database...' i get this:
PerlDesk 1.5: Installation
Please be patient while your database is setup
You will need to proceed to the next step at the bottom
Creating Announcements Table...[ OK ]
Creating Requests Table...[ OK ]
Creating Departments Table...[ OK ]
Creating Email Forwarding Table...[ OK ]
Creating user events Table...[ OK ]
Creating KB Categories Table...[ OK ]
Creating KB Entries Table...[ OK ]
Creating Messages Table...[ OK ]
Creating Notes Table...[ OK ]
Creating Pre-defined answers Table...[ OK ]
Creating settings Table...[ OK ]
Creating staff Table...[ OK ]
Creating staff active Table...[ OK ]
Creating staff login Table...[ OK ]
Creating staff read Table...[ OK ]
Creating users Table...[ OK ]
Creating ticket fields table...[ OK ]
Creating call fields table...[ OK ]
SQL Setup Complete
which i guess is ok.
Then i delete install.cgi
And try to login... and still get same error.
any ideas why? i did everything like it says... but still doesnt work.

Have you checked your error_log you might get some more useful info there as the where it is bombing out at. It might just say "Premature end of script though" chances are it all has something to do with your permissions I would triple check those.
