if the mails are working to say gmail or yahoo..this should be a problem with the recipient end.

see the problem is, that we had the server reformated in December and since then, we can not recieve emails from some people. There are getting roughly the same error. We have reinstalled the mailing service and no luck. We are using Cpanel
Here are some of the errors(i have changed the domain to mydomain)

    -----Original Message-----
From: Mail Delivery System [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 05 February 2007 09:04
    To: Hanlon, Rebecca
Subject: Warning: message 1HCtdn-0001ze-KN delayed 72 hours

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its
recipients after more than 72 hours on the queue on llex01.uwic.ac.uk.

    The message identifier is: 1HCtdn-0001ze-KN
The subject of the message is: Tonight
The date of the message is: Fri, 2 Feb 2007 08:19:30 -0000
The subject of the message is: Tonight

The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is:

    [email protected]
Delay reason: SMTP error from remote mailer after RCPT
    TO:<[email protected]>:
    host media4creative.co.uk [85.234.157.118]: 451 Could not complete
    sender verify callout

No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for
some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message
remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up,
and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.

    Here is another message

    Unknown user: [email protected]

    How do i check this?

    Thanks,
    Nathaniel

P.S It also looks like this only happens on windows servers.

Can people with windows servers email a message to [email protected] I will then give you the address i want you to email to test.

Its gone all funny again. I downloaded the /var/log/exim_mainlog and suddenly it worked. But no it has gone all funny again. I dont think it would be problems, with some of the clients we work. One of these, who is SONY. They cant send us email. They did however 2 days ago. But no we got this problem back.

    I need help URGENTLY!!

    Thanks,
    Nathaniel

It has been fixed. If you get an Unknown user, it is something to do with the senders end. I have been on the phone to Cpanel all night about this.

    Thanks,
