I'm from the UK and it loads as quickly as ever. When people in the US say it's *slow*, they probably mean it's *slower* than it was when the DC was located 100 miles away

I installed Adblock Plus now and the speed is somewhat like it was before with ads running.

WHT Moved from RackSpace to SoftLayer
I find it interesting that WHT has moved from RackSpace to SoftLayer - I use SoftLayer personally and they are a *fantastic company* and in my own opinions RackSpace has always been way too expensive.

Why is the 'powered by rackspace' still there?

I have been having intermittent problems connecting to WHT today and had posted in another thread. Tracert looks fine, it seems like sometimes pages/site become unresponsive (click to open in a new tab, tab hangs). I have tried it with a few browsers…same. Posting is also hit/miss for hanging page.

As before, I'm in the UK and loading times are *always* very quick. Which probably suggests that the connection issues mentioned above are only affecting certain regions of America?

What's about the housewarming party? When? Where? What to take along? Will the credit cards be accepted (I mean, as a gift)?

On a serious note: I’m on Safari 4 now, and every single page is loading just indefinitely.
It was better on Safari 3 during the day, but now and then a page could just stop loading.

For me, WHT seems to be going through phases since the Softlayer move. The vast majority of the time (9 times out of 10) it is much faster than before. For the remaining 1, I can get page or post hangs lasting one or two minutes.
