The joys of Corehoster.com

I thought I would share my experience of Corehoster.com

This will hopefully serve as a warning to others looking for a new host. I opened a reseller account with corehoster.com some 8 months ago. After some teething problems all ran smoothly until I received an email at the end of last week saying that their servers had been hacked and they had lost everything including all their accounts and backups. Having faithfully paid my invoices via paypal for 8 months I had to contact them to set my account up as they appeared to keep no records. (how do they pay their taxes???). The email I received offered 3 months free hosting for this major headache. I duly replied and as my partner is 39 weeks pregnant and having some difficulties after major issues with our last wee boy I had other things to worry about. Yesterday, 2 days later my account was still down. I contacted corehoster via their online support and my account was re-setup. The sting in the tail, they say they hadn't received my email and to get the free 3 months you had to reply within 24hrs, which I did, but didn't chase up.

I was shocked that I pay them every month, the same as every other one of their clients, yet I was getting a poorer service than those who can sit at their computers all day. So shocked I was that I cancelled my account and was told by them that they "don't care about your money".

Buyers beware!!!

Wow. I feel especially bad for you since not only was your data lost, but that of all of your customers as well.

Thanks, I wish Nick over at corehoster did. Unlike him I've refunded all my clients and paid them compensation too. I think it's better to keep clients happy.

You must be a good and honest man to take of your clients as you have. Thanks for the review.

Man, that really sucks, corehoster is terrible though. I know someone who used their master reseller hosting and had terrible uptime.
