OK, we have just opened up our IPv6 network and you can read the details in our company blog
. We normally charge a $20 one-time fee to get an IPv6 /64 assigned to your server, but now, for a limited time (through April 30) we can drop this $20 fee on all new orders, just note this special and your WHT username in the comments field of your order
. IPv6 connectivity is provided by nLayer, Hurricane Electric, and Atlantic Metro Communications with additional local peering.
High Bandwidth Servers
Now, we also have been seeing a reduction in bandwidth usage during these tough economic times, as sites have been working to reduce their costs, etc. To help even this out, we are offering a high bandwidth server special to all new customers. The pricing would be as follows:
Note: The Pentium 4 3.0Ghz system is an example. We have many other systems available and in stock, just contact us
for a full quote. As an example, a dual core Opteron 1212 would add $30 a month to the below prices.
Pentium 4 3.0Ghz
1 GB RAM
120 GB Hard Drive
50 Mbit/sec - $279 a month
100 Mbit/sec - $449 a month
200 Mbit/sec - $799 a month
500 Mbit/sec - $1999 a month
1 Gbit/sec - $3499 a month
The bandwidth is capped at the above levels, thus no overages, and dedicated to your use. The bandwidth used is high quality InterNAP FCP optimized
connectivity from Level(3), Savvis, nLayer, TeliaSonera and supplemented with our own local public and private peering (connectivity to ChIX, Equinix Exchange Chicago, and private peering with Comcast). If you want to further investigate our network we do have a publicly available looking glass and test file: http://steadfast.net/corporate/lookingglass.php
Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
or contact me personally on AIM (KarlAZimmerman) to take advantage of this offer.
