I guess my AI thread from a few weeks ago got lost in the hack attack.
All I can say, after just having watched this week's performances, is that if Adam Lambert doesn't win this thing hands down, there is something severely wrong with the process.
Incredible and amazing performance by Adam tonight. Once again, he blew the competition away. They are miles behind him.

I agree. The others aren't anywhere near his level of talent. He's not only the most talented, he's the brightest.
And I'd place him somewhere near light-years ahead of the rest.

Vito,
I don't know why ... maybe it is just me ... but he creeps me out. :/
I'll even admit that he can sing. *shrugs*

Adam is the most talented and does the most original stuff, but Allison is right on his tail. Good thing too, because she's going to have the represent the women all the way to the top three - the others just aren't going to make it that far (Danny Gokey is the other top 3 contender).

Adam is a great singer but I think there are a few others that could give him a run for his money after tonight's performance.
My prediction for top 5:
1. Adam Lambert
2. Allison Iraheta
3. Danny Gokey
4. Matt Giraud
5. Lil Rounds
What do you guys think will be the top 5?

Yeah, it's sooooo one sided ATM. His voice is just out of this world. Gives me chills sometimes. He's got the chick thing going, and the blokes can also like him too. He's got the gay thing going too, so he has some very broad commercial appeal.

I agree with your list too. Danny kind of shouted his way through his song last night, but he is a contender. Adam could very well perform in Vegas right now.

So many of them are so talented. It is really hard to tell which one is the best. Guess it all comes down to the final performance. Whoever chokes will not win.

I agree with the assessment on Adam Lambert. Something's off about him.. and he kinda reminds me of Elvis, but the dood can sing and he's got his act together.

I Agree Adam will win, and i think Danny will place second.
Everyone else in the competition is horrible compared to these two.

They should just award the American Idol to Adam Lambert by affirmation and let the others duke it out with out him. There is no suspense of who the winner is going to be.....
What the heck is Matt Giraud doing in the bottom three??????? How bizarre, how bizarre .....
Megan Joy is just plain terrible. Why is she there?????? How bizarre, how bizarre .....

Agreed. It's interesting to try to analyze how "America votes".
Some will vote for who they think is best. Period.
Others will will vote for the underdog who is lamb basted by the judges, just because...
There is also the argument about run placement. "Primacy effect" versus "latency effect". In other words, will you garner more/less votes based on where you are positioned in the performance list? Some argue that being the first out of the gate is a negative since the "latency effect" of the last performance(s) leaves a greater impression.
BTW, I hate this new rule whereby the judges can go against the votes. IMO, it takes away from the credibility of the competition.
