This is really the wrong forum for this..
But yeah.. When someone wants to act so immature and call you and insult your mother.. There should be a maturity requirement here..
Bad thing is, if he gets banned for that, then people might worry about getting banned about talking bad about a company...
I think its personally wrong to insult someone like that, and I voted to ban him, but it won't happen
Why doesn't he just leave again0

At one point I left WHT because I couldn't stand the stupid arguments. But, I came back when things cleared up.
Now I really wonder if this forum is worth my time to read.0

Banning someone is purely a decision for the mods. Although community involvement in this process seems fair too.

I think you both have too much time on your hands.
If you want to act like kids, I think you both should be banned.
I'm younger than both of you (NocSol and RackMy) .. I think and I don't sit on the boards and bicker. Don't you have work to do?Jason0

Calling Mikes office as a result of a thread at wht is all wrong.. Nocsol uses this board to blatantly p**s people off must be his nature.. Calling up and slandering someones mom is ridiculous and childish.. Nocsol, do everyone a favour, you add nothing to this forum thats of any use to anyone.. go over to sitepoint and see how long you last with this kind of crap.

I don't know the entire history of what has transpired in this other than this thread and the thread referred to above, but here's my opinion of what I've seen so far:
Whereas I don't agree with the phone call that was made (I would have dealt with it much less professionally than Mike did as I would have probably taken that a bit too personally - I just happen to keep several cans of whoopa$$ handy), I don't think that it is something that WHT should ban someone for. Should they be the police for everything that goes on outside of WHT?
I do believe, however, that the comments and derisiveness that I have seen by nocsol do warrant at least a warning, and if it's already been given in the past, then I think the mods should ban him because he will cause more damage to this forum in the future. New members that sign up to use this forum as a reference to running their business will soon leave thinking this place is a bunch of 14yr-olds and won't be of any help. They won't realize sometimes that this is a 'minority' of the members.
All I can say is that if this were my forum, that's what I'd do. Should he be banned from WHT? supta Chicken et al.Learn survival/prepper information from a combat veteran at Graywolf Survival

I voted no because I don't have enough information to make a conclusion otherwise. I don't think that post in the thread is anything inflammatory (then again, I haven't read all of it either).

I voted no, but then I read the thread. Very disappointing attitudes of most of the people in that thread as far as I can see.
Just a personal opinion, but has anyone else noticed the attitudes between the FDC threads and the NAC thread from yesterday? While I'm obviously bias as someone effected by NAC's power issue, for the most part we all took it on the chin, sat back and awaited news, knowing NAC was on the case. And that's from a bunch of people who pride themselves in being multi-homed to the eyeballs, and experience very little downtime.
Then you get a bunch of people who run a business off one line and seem to squeal like monkeys when their house of cards falls over, laying the blame game left and right, but never on their own doorstep.
I'm not sure why this seems to be the attitude between the two threads. Maybe it's a case of homework where some people have worked hard to gain a solid foundation at a considerable price, versus others who feel a good price is enough.
There's an old saying that goes something like this:
"A empty vessel makes the most noise"
Personally, people are welcome to lay blame wherever they wish. I feel a lot more respect for them however when they have facts behind them to support their position, rather than empty posturing to cover their own lack of foresight.

I like to stay out of these threads for the most part, however I think that nocsol should absolutely be banned. There is no excuse for his piss poor behavior, time and time again. CogentXP, KO, his constant knocking of RS, and now his deplorable behavior with regards to Mike. I am a very objective and fair person but this whole situation just rubs me the wrong way. Nocsol's primary reason for posting 99% of his threads is simply to incite and stir up controversy. Now people may say that this situation with Rackmy happened out of the scope of WHT, and while that is a valid point, there comes a time where we have to evaluate what is better for the community as a whole. Would we or would we not be better off without Robert and Nocsol? Should we cut the finger to save the hand? My vote is yes, we would be much better off without him, and he adds nothing to this community.

I voted No, because it isn't my decision to make. There are people here who act as small children. Their posts and responses speak load and clear. I don't think a conversation between businessmen/women in the real world (not cyberspace) would have screaming laughter, namecallings, and people rolling around on the floor. That's more like kindergarten.

The phone call happened outside WHT and WHT shouldn't police things outside. Nocsol is probably a borderline case, but after long thinking, I voted yes. I didn't expect such a childish behaviour from someone with hundreds of post in this community, and no, I don't mean his phone call but all his recent posts. Very sad.
