Eric,
Our network uses bandwidth from Sprintlink and UUNet, but we can also provision bandwidth through Net Access Corporation, which goes Cogent and NAC's peers. That is what we refer to as "regular" bandwidth.

Bogdan,
Yes, it would be possible to visit the data center, but security is a little tight, so the times you can visit are not too flexible. The data center is on 60 Hudson.

Bored me has nothing to do during lunch breaks, so I thought I might be lucky and pay a visit, see how the DC is setup and report to the fellow WHTERS. But, I think I'll freeze my rear off before I would make it to 60HUDSON, hehe.
It's actually good they have tight security. After 9/11 I can't get into any commercial building without showing a driver's license and company ID - they have them James Bond type security guards chasing me when I try to bypass them and jump into the elevator.
Anyway. Thanks for your attention.Last edited by OWL INTERNET; 10-29-2002 at 12:12 PM.
