Need a script to delete, then dump mysql db's via cron
I need a script (bash or perl maybe?) that will delete several mysql databases then recreate the databases and dump premade .sql files back into the databases every hour or so. This would be accomplished via a cron job.
Doesn't sound too difficult, but unfortunately I'm no coder. If you're interested PM or email me and I'll give more details. Thank you for your time and considertation.
This is for opensourcecms.com, a website whereby individuals can test both front and backend features of several top open source cms's. The site is not completely functional yet. The idea is to allow people to test all the features of the admin section of every CMS on the site. That is where the script comes in... Every hour cron will run the script and delete the databases then reinstall fresh ones thereby keeping each CMS relatively clean for everyone that wishes to test the backend features of the CMS.
Thanks for those that replied... I sat down and figured it out by myself. I knew it would be simple... basically 7 lines in a bash script that is repeated for each database. Sorry to have wasted anyone's time.
