Sydney (Campbelltown), Australia - for unleaded.

    93.9c per litre (AUD)
    = 81.27c per litre (CAD)
    = 51.73c per litre (USD)

That's roughly equivalent to US$2.35 per gallon.

$1.40/gallon in suburban Detroit, Michigan. It's higher for higher octane fuel but I don't use it so...

All you people with cheap fuel - I envy you .

As for those in the UK - ouch.

The fuel companies here constantly moan about crude oil prices in the middle-east pushing up fuel prices - how can that be; considering some parts of Australia (esp. Queensland) have fuel that's 15c a litre cheaper than here in Sydney.

No thanks, was in London a couple of weeks ago and with the exchange rate being like 1 pound to $1.65 US, ended up just taking the pound and doubling it in my calculations.

2 bucks for a can of coke? Outrageous!

    $1.22/gal at Murphy's (Walmart gas)
    1.33-1.39 elsewhere.

Next time gas jumps to $2, I know what I am doing. I am going to get me an older ford truck...somewhere between '76 and '85 and convert it to propane. Back on the farm we used to do that to our trucks. We had a toggle switch to switch from gas to propane and back. Propane dries engine parts, but running thru a couple gallons of gas a week lubes them. Have to have an engine with a carb though, I dont think it can be done with fuel injection. Milage and power are about the same for far less cost.
