Selling Off Hosting Assets...
Hello Forum,
After a recent bad decision on my part I have been forced to sell off the hosting part of my business. I have already found a place for my hosting customers where they will be well taken care of for a good price, but I am wondering were I should attempt to sell my other assets.
Some of the things I am looking to sell would include:
Workstations: Many PIV 1.8, 512MB, 40 GB HD
Servers: Many 1 year old 1U + 2U PowerEdges
Switches: Quite a few Cisco 2900's
Battery Backups: A few Minutemen
Other: Desks, Chairs, Other Office Equipment, and other items a hosting company would have.
Of course I am looking to receive a good price for these assets, as good as possible anyhow. NOTE: I am not looking for people to offer me money on this forum, but letting me know where would be the best place to list such assets.

I must agree, eBay. I have actually found that 95% of the time people actually pay more than what I would have expected, or more than I actually desired, so it has been a great experience.

Where are you located?
I guess everyone assumed U. S., but I don't know and I think that makes a significant difference.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to post an ad in the advertising forum here.

Being that I am in the US does anyone know of any good IT type auction houses like E-bay? Weatheralls looked like it was based mainly in the UK as well.
If I keep stuff US it just makes things easier.

I will PM a list of the assets left to people that would like them on Monday (10-21-02). I sold a chunk to a hosting company that I have been working with for the past few days. After that I have checked out Ebay pricing and I should be able to get good price on there.
Thank you for all your suggestions and the intrest.

Those posts have been removed, however I'm just going to toss this in the ad forums just in case.
