    Can't access Site Management

    Hello:

I can't seem to access the site management pages of the sites listed on my Raq 4. I can pull up the sites, but they are not getting email. Anyone know the cause of this.

I appreciate your help and thanks in advance for your knowledge.

    Ok.
    First things first:
    1. Are you running a firewall?
    2. Have you installed anything recently?
    3. Can you access via SSH?

    Nope. Nothing was installed.

I had to delete a site and add it again for email to start working, and for me to access that domains site management page.

The other sites on there are useless. I can call up there web pages, but they can't get email, nor can I call up their site management page.

Have you got SSH/Telnet access? If so you need to check what is running.

    Check for What?

I can telnet in, but what am I checking for? As stated if I delete a site, and add it in again, it works. But who wants to do that for the sites I am hosting on it.

Please elaborate on your answers. I really appreciate all your help.

    Telnet/SSH in and run:
    ps -aux
It'll show you all the processes that are running.
If the admin server is running it should show up.

I did ps -e and this is what I saw?

    453 ? 00:00:02 httpd.admsrv
    475 ? 00:00:04 httpd.admsrv

when I ran ps -aux, it was hard to determine if the admin server was running because the remainder of the return scrolled of the right of the screen.

So please tell me what I am looking for to see if the admin server is running, and if it is or is not, what to do next.

    Thanks Again

It's running. If you are getting weird errors when trying to access the admin server try using a different browser or a different PC.

    /usr/admserv/html/.cobalt/siteManage directory deleted

Ok, I've had a few times this problem.

Somehow (I still don't know exactly when), if you delete a virtual site and refresh the browser, or press delete twice, well, somehow ALL your sitemanage directory is deleted. It's supposed to be fixed in a patch from cobalt but I still getting this problem with my updated raqs.

Anyway, the problem can be solved by downloading a script called: sitemanage-fix, unpacking it to the admin directory and taking a look at the README.

I haven't found a downloadable copy of the script, so as I had a copy of it in my server I created a link for it:
    http://www.ernestoperez.com/en/mod.p...u=12&page_id=4

This script will recreate the whols sitemanage directory but will NOT create the email server for every recreated server. So after you run the script, get into each and every virtual server and add the email server info in the textbox.

It's not difficult to do but you should have some knowledge of operating when in the unix shell.
