Any FREE Reseller plans?
Perhaps someone can tell me where to find a host that will provide me with a free reseller plan?

I don't think those exist. It is going far enough to offer free shared hosting accounts, but I don't think people would be crazy enough to offer free reseller plans. Offering free reseller plans would just be a bad idea. For one, free hosts would most likely require you to have an ad on each of your web pages, so as a reseller, you would have to require each of your customers to have an ad of another hosting company. (Doesn't make too much sense does it? )

well, what would be in it for the company providing the bandwidth, storage, power, upkeep of machinery, et al ?
All these things cost money....and pop-ups dont really pay as far as I know.

See, it's kind of against the whole idea of a R E S E L L E R plan to give it away free...
It's called a re-SELL-er plan because it was SOLD to someone and they are selling it AGAIN, hence the RE in RE-seller.
Maybe if someone's giving them away free they would just call them seller accounts instead...Last edited by Andrew; 10-16-2002 at 06:52 PM.

I'm sure any hosting company could give away free reseller plans. The `maintenance fee` may cost, though.

I *think* what the poster was trying to imply is "a reseller doesn't have to spend a dime, let say a month," he only pays the master host from what the resellers client ordered.

Affiliate
Then that would be an affiliate not a reseller. Actually, let's not get into the semantics of things. If the original poster would please explain what type of account they are talking about.

Can I have a free datacenter ? (Complete with multihomed OC3's) ?
Preferably in either eggshell white or blue interior.

A free reseller plan wouldnt be all that bad of an Idea. If he were willing to pay the host for each of his clients.

If that's the case, then actually there are several who offer that kind of account.
