Thread: Pixel Fonts...

    Unhappy Pixel Fonts...

I am trying to make some 88x31 buttons for my site... but I am stuck, because I don't have any pixel fonts whatsoever.

So... I was hoping someone knew of where I could get some free pixel fonts at? Preferrably some that have a black border, and white inside.

    Thanks a lot, much appreciated.

    Start big, then shrink.

Create a perspective image then shrink to the intended size.

Then you can use any font, and just give it an outside stroke.

Ok, thanks for the links guys... but now I am having some troubles I have some pixel fonts and such... but whenever I try and make the text white, then put a border around it... it won't work. It turns everything black...

I am using PSP, and am doing the following:
    -stroking it black
    -filling it white
-setting the font size to 6-7
    -turning antialias off

    What am I doing wrong?

I am adding a border because I want to be able to do fonts that come out like this picture...

    And this one too:

Maybe now you have a better idea of what I am doing, and can maybe help me out? =\

Doesn't come out right, I tried. Plus, the fact is... I shouldn't have to. I should be able to just add the font like everyone else.

Your samples aren't pixel fonts. They are san serifs with all anti-aliasing turned off. The font looks like Bell Gothic Black.
Use a Black or Ultra version of a font, turn off all anti-aliasing and put a narrow 1pt stroke on it, again with all anti-aliasing off.
Arial Black, Eras Black, whatever you have that has an Ultra or black version should be heavy enough to handle the stroke.

Try http://www.04.jp.org/ for some kickass bitmap fonts. Great for microbuttons and navbars.
