Hello,

Can someone please tell me how to get: ftp://domain.com/file.zip to work with cPanel?

My client needs to be able to download the file via browser by simply clicking on that link. It cannot be http.

How do you access files in the public_ftp directory?

Using anonymous ftp the link its like what you posted (ftp://domain.com/file.zip), otherwise you can do it using

ftp://username:password@domain.com/file.zip, but you'll providing there with the login and password.

This is an interesting issue. I haven't been able to access files over ftp in the public_ftp directory for about a week now, but definately could before as Jedito describes.

Has anonymous FTP been broken in cPanel recently?

Does IP is needed for accesing using the Anonynous FTP like you said in Cpanel?

Dedicated IP its needed to anonymous FTP, or, you can use

ftp://anonymous%domain.com:anypasswo...n.com/file.zip

That link will only with netscape, I couldn't make it work with IE, in IE should be something like

ftp://anonymous@domain.com:anypasswo...n.com/file.zip

But the first @ make to the browser to ignore all the rest.
