    motherboard specs

anyone know the command (if it exists) that shows the specs for a motherboard on a linux/unix server.

I checked in /proc, but I don't see anything similar to something like cpuinfo meminfo...for motherboard.

    am I just overlooking it?

I bet you could determine some of the chipset by looking at the vendor and device ids in /proc/pci. And you can glean some info from the dmesg log, but that's about as good as you're going to get, I believe.
