    Monitoring bandwidth

    OK I know you can use webilizer to monitor bandwidth/traffic for http but what would you use for the system as a whole? All help is appreciated.

    mrtg reports, you could fix something up with ip chains(you go by ip), there are ways

    To add to David's post, there is already a tool that will use iptables (or ipchain) to count transfer usage. It is called bandmin and is availabe at www.bandmin.org.
