    Billing Software, Mine's junk

So, what do ya use? What have you used and hate?

Anybody tried modernbill yet? I need easy to use and most importantly, functionality.

My so called "hosting software" won't even let you do a search by domain name.

    LOL

That was great for the first hundred customers or so, but no what!

    Later!

We've been with ubersmith for a while now (over a year) and haven't had any major complaints. They frequently update the codebase and the system can practically run unattended.

Customers can log in securely, enter their credit card or maintain their contact info.

I've also heard nothing but good things about Modernbill.

Some opensource alternatives we've tried were: gdbc and freeside. I'd recommend sticking with a commerical app at this point, especially if you're over 100 customers.

Efficient/secure handling of your invoicing/billing is the lifeblood of your business.

Errrr, ummmm, just a note that Gump's on vacation for 30 days. He'll answer that when he gets back, or you might want to email him directly.

How did you find that out, Chicken?

*Can see Chicken doing extensive profile lookups on government databases which hold the current x,y,z positions of every human on earth.*

I would say Modernbill, however their prices have dramatically increased since the rollout of release 4.0, so it's not really affordable if you're new in the hosting business
