    Name Suggestions (cry for help)

    Hi,

I need some help naming a spin-off site that I'm contemplating, and I'm hoping one of the WHT folk will have a flash of inspiration!

The site will offer domain name monitoring and alerts, and a deleted domain back-ordering service (like ExpireFish, SnapNames etc offer). I want to portray an image of security, protection, guarding of brands and so on. I've dredged the thesaurus looking for ideas, but nothing that's available in .com came up.

Edit: Should have mentioned - the name doesn't have to contain "domains" "names" or any other related keywords. After all, Amazon doesn't contain "books"...

Can anyone help a poor left-brainer out please?

    Best wishes,
    Simon.

    Inspired?

Are you inspired by MY name?

I'm not quite sure what you mean (late night coding, lack of caffeine today etc) but I'm ready to be inspired by anything right now. Just hit me over the head with it

The best I've come up with is NameAlerts.com but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for. And yes, I registered it before you go check....

NameAlerts.com - sound like winner to me for what you are describing. It's short, sweet and easy to remember.

Thanks DotComster. It's just....I don't know. NameAlerts.com doesn't inspire me much. I really wanted NameGuard.com but it's taken naturally (though not in use). Something that hints at security, protection, which NameAlerts.com doesn't do.

Perhaps I'm getting too fussy in my old age

    Best wishes,
    Simon.

LOL. That would kinda take the 'P' out of 'PM' wouldn't it? And then what would you be left with eh? Just an 'M' all by itself in this big old world. Not even another 'M' to go with it so we could enjoy M&Ms.

Meanwhile back in the real world...

Thank-you all for your suggestions. I'm pursuing a couple of things and will be sure to advertise here when the service is up and running

    Best wishes,

Well, if you had told him it wasn't something you wanted - then I figured it would be fine to broadcast.

Just was curious as to what his suggestion was.

Yeah, might be. Who knows. Just was bored and thought I would ask.
