    help wanted : empty db thro telnet

    Hey guys, how do i empty a mysql database through Telnet?

    use mysqladmin to drop the database (if you have the privs), then recreate.
    Otherwise, you're better off using something like phpMyadmin or the like, because you (literally) have to drop the tables one by one
    here's how to do it though:
    mysql (databasename) -umyusername -p
    enter password
    DROP TABLE `table`;
    continue untill you have no tables left
