    Mysql questions

    HI,

    I am getting complain from cleitns saying, that they get error saying Too Many Mqsql connectins. I never get any issue before, is that mean some one hacking at my site? whcich log file I should check.

    pls heeelp.

    It's likely that one of your users is either making very heavy use of the db or they're using a buggy program that doesn't release db connections.

    Try: mysqladmin -uroot -pROOTPW processlist

    that'll show you the list of connections. Assuming each user logs into the db with their own username you should be able to easily determine which user has a lot of connections open. You'll need to follow up with that user and ask them to fix their program and/or reduce their db usage. AFAIK there's no whay with MySQL to limit the number of connections per user.
