    RaQ3 Relaying denied

I have a very strange problem with my RaQ3.

I have pop before relay installed, and my static ISP IP address is on the allowed list.

Every now and then, just for a few hours at a time, I receive the "relaying denied" message when sending email.

It still receives of course, and the problem usually cures itself while I am attempting to research a cure, but it's pretty frustrating for the few hours while it's refusing me.

I tried simple solutions such as restarting the mail server and rebooting, but that doesn't make a difference.

I am using the latest version of pop before relay, my RaQ3 has all the latest updates, and it has 512MB memory.

You may be attempting to get your email with secure pop (APOP) and you do not have this enabled on the server. Either turn on APOP for the site and user settings, or turn off APOP retrieving of emails in outlook or other client.

Many thanks for the suggestion. I am not using APOP for any of my domains. I switched APOP on and off again for the troublesome domains just to see if that was the problem, but it didn't resolve the issue.

Aaaah, solved it! After a brainwave I investigated whether my IP address had changed. I lost my cable connection overnight, and it seems AT&T changed all our IP addresses.

I added to the allowed list and now it works fine!

It still takes a while to authenticate, but that's another issue as it's being doing that ever since I installed a router/firewall a few weeks back.
