Web Based FTP

Hi,

I have a customer that has purchased a domain and webspace from me. They are FTP illiterate and do not understand the concept. Are there any web based FTP uploaders out there which I can setup to go straight to their webspace with a username and password??

I need it to be easy to use.

Any suggestions??

If they are using Internet Explorer then set up the FTP Default to site web folder bit and give them this address:

ftp://username:password@domain.com/

That will let them use things like drag and drop just like in Windows Explorer.

Otherwise, I have no suggestions right now.

Try the fileman package...

if you install this, you can access the sites through

http://www.yoursite.com/fileman/fileman.cgi

With this, you can upload files, edit rights, password protect directories and more...

a free version for Cobalt RaQ users. This Cobalt .pkg file will allow any site administrator on your Cobalt RaQ the ability to log into FileMan and manage their own domain (running as their own users). This package is free, but requires a link back to Gossamer Threads. If you are interested in completely branded solutions to integrate into an existing control panel, please contact us.
