Question List of Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS) providers

Keen to know more about VDS. Could we compile a list of VDS providers? Here are what I know, in alpha order:

    GynesisHost http://www.gynesis.com
    Jumpline http://www.jumpline.com
    RemarkableHost http://www.remarkablehosting.com

Anyone used the above, any comments?

    VDS

The only one I ever used was http://www.isp-server.com and I found them to be very good.

The Jumpline is too checp and a bit funny: from 6.25, but then they take you to the purchase form when you click the icon....

    The ramarkable is remarkably expensive....

VDS should be around $30+ dollars to $50
    at 30GIG or there about.

I get just 5-10 participating webmasters on one fast server - which is the same, but stronger.

    Incorrect -
What if the provider buys data at more than $1 or $2 per gigabye? Even if it was $1, there is also the hard disk space, RAM, basically the rest of the server needs to be paid for too. Then there is the software, staff, etc etc. Do you see where I am going?

Companies are allowed to charge whatever they like, it's up to the buyer whether it's right for them or not. Some people are prepared to shell out much more for higher quality service.
