wimps are people who use PICO*. PICO is part of PINE, for which source code can be downloaded from ftp://ftp.cac.washington.edu/pine/pine.tar.Z.

Decompressing, untarring, and compiling is left as an exercise to the reader.

*WIMPs (note the capitalization) are also Weakly Interacting Massive Particles.

Sure thing, goto a command prompt on your linux box and type PICO

Pico comes with 99% of all linux distros (linux nuts, correct me if im wrong) so you should have it.

However, it seems you are under the impression that Pico is a wysiwyg editor... it's not. Pico, and VI for that matter... are text based. They are the Linux equal to Notepad in Windows. I once heard of a program that runs in X called CoffeCup... it's basically a glorified text editor designed for web-designers in mind.

hpbuilder by IBM is available for linux - its wysiwyg - its free for trial - after my trial ran out it says I can keep using it anyway.
Don't know the url just search google.

I don't use it though - I use Vim exclusively.

    Also try SCREEM

Sort of a mix between FP98 and text editors. Check it out here : http://www.screem.org
