    Unhappy What happened to Aletia?

    Hello there,

I'm a customer from Aletia and a few weeks ago I got the message they were merging together with Jaguar PC (or something like that) and I should try my login at their control panel. I did so but the system always reportet "invalid username/passwort" I wrote Aletia and asked them what to do. About 4 times. No response. Angry as I was I wrote them I'd like to cancel my account. No response. I wrote to Jaguar. No response. What the f*** happened? What can I do now? I don't want them bill me again for the next period.

    *shrugs*

You are correct in that Jaguar PC took over Aletia. How long ago did you e-mail Jaguar PC? Did you send it to the correct e-mail address? I'm sure they will get back to you as it's not like them to ignore e-mails.

my website on Aletia has been down over 15 hours now.

I put in a trouble ticket with my name and domain name,
their response was to ask me my server name and IP address.

I did not know the server. The IP I had in my notes was
from my signup 16 months ago, possiblyy changed since.

I responded with the info I had, including a cut-n-paste of
the email receipt for my last account payment. (yes, I am paid up.)

If they would bring my site back online for a little while, I can at
least salvage/download my stored emails from the server.

well, the page is still there under an IP address.
samspade.org would not find the IP address for the main domain.
I had an inspiration though! I have an unused domain parked there, and samspade did find the IP address for that one. (same IP as main domain).

I went to the IP address, the webpage is there, and I could log into the cpanel from the IP address. So then I could see the server name. I sent a response ticket with this info just now.
I also noticed that my responses were supposed to be done through the ticket system, not emailed (like my first response).

So at this point, my guess is that my main domain got "unmapped" somehow.

edit: They fixed it.......It's working now. (DNS thing)
