    how do you unistall apache???

    ok i have installed apache 1.3.26 from a tarball. how do i unistall it???

    this is very important, i really need to remove apache. i also need to remove php

    Are you on a Windows system or a Unix system? That would help, because those are two different removal methods.

    anyone this is really urgent, my server is down, and i have to get rid of apache really quickly

    I am a tad confused here, apache is your web server, are you not wanting to host site no more or will you be using a different web server?

    i installed apache 2.0 and it dont work with php 4.2.2 and i want to remove them and put apache 1.3.26 back on

    anyone, my server is down, and its been down for nearly an hour

    i am really conisdering formatting it if no1 can help me out

    apache.org doesn't even tell you, thats really bad if u ask me

    ok looks like no one knows gunna have to format then.

    redhat 8 is out anyway so i will download that and install it on the server.

    looks like my server is going to be down for days then

    just rm your apache2 dir, and remove the startup script

    its pretty easy to get 2.0 working with 4.2.2... if your still wanting to use 2.0, let me know...

    It's not very respectful to constantly spam several forums (webhostingtalk.com, unix.com etc) at once without doing any reseach or reading your self in order to get a response for your question. It's also not a good idea to "beg" and rush people into helping you.
