Which is the best hosting company in your opinion?
I need it to be reliable and affordable.

    Thanks!

ChickenSteak, if he didn't know any good ones off the top of his head, getting a name thrown out to search on would be better.

Just some advice, other than the use the search button. Don't even consider hosts that are giving away large amounts of bandwidth for low prices.

I think I've found a good host that I am testing now, but I don't feel comfortable recommending them this soon.

If you don't need SSH, I hear httpme.com is good, tho' I haven't used them. You better hurry though - according to a previous post by the owner, Aussie Bob, they are not taking anymore customers after they reach 250. He wants to keep it a small community.

True, although he could search for "reviews", "good reviews", "good web hosting companys", "my favorite host", etc.

Thanks Chris. That almost brings a tear to my eye. After extensive .COMmunity discussion, we're currently moving beyond that original 250 member mark. How far we move beyond that mark is up to the .COMmunity. Just taking it one server at a time and see how things go.....

Hey, gigabean, you cannot advertise your company here. In case you didn't know, it's against the forum rules.

which is the same as ********* which is a banned URL.

this means that the URL you offer should be banned also

im not saying that this isnt' a good host (i honestly don't know), but for those of you who are interested, you might want to do a little bit more research...

There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.
