    mysqladmin script

    hi i need a script that will let me run

    mysqladmin -u user -p password database < backup.sql

    i DID have ssh access but i no longer for some weird reason so im gonna av to av a word with the host. (young host)


    all it is really is im on 56k and i carnt put my 2mb phpBB backup in and i need to get it sorted i put the .sql in a directory on my site.

    can be in php.cgi etc asp even

    (BTW ITS NOT ADOHOST.COM)

    Have you thought about using phpMyAdmin? http://www.phpmyadmin.org/

    Straight-forward install and handy for all your other general mysql tasks also

    yep... HostIt has the answer.

    phpMyAdmin will let you use a webbased control panel to connect and edit your database.. it will also let you import .sql files and run commands like you were at a shell prompt.

    it wont let me import the sql file php only allows 2mb uploads mine is just a bit over and wont work

    i dunno any 1 with the host and the host is beeing slow to do the command i reuire

    Split your backup file into small parts and use phpMyAdmin to import those parts.
