Step by step guide to setting up a redhat linux web, dns and mail server. Ebook format. Freeware version available. Full version for only $9.95 Includes software that builds your configuration files for you.
Regarding the ebook. How it began was when I wanted to learn how to set-up a redhat linux web server to host my own site. I could not find a step by step guide that would explain how to set-up a web, dns and mailserver in easy to follow terms for someone coming from a windows environment. After gathering bits and pieces from books, forums and everywhere else I thought I need to document how to get things running from a fresh formated drive. So one day I sat down at the server and documented the exact step by step actions to get the server up in less then 30 mins. This was of course using a boxed set of rh7.1 but I imagine all versions would be very similiar.
Then I wrote the software to build your apache, and dns configuration files. This is real convenient for someone new to linux - apache and dns. You simply enter your info and it creates the files for you. You simply ftp these files to your server. It's included in the ebook. The ebook is approx. 20 pages. Hope this explains a little better.
