I ran this website for a while and then sort of abandoned it. It lingered along until I realized I wasn't going to be able to truly devote time to it and so I shut it down.
What I am offering: a completely developed web site aimed at couples tying the knot. The site allows the couple to set up an account, connect with providers of wedding-related services, track guests and expenses. It also offers a wedding preparation checklist. Guests can RSVP online. Wedding service providers can sign up and be searched by service type and location.
Technology: this runs on NT + ASP + SQL Server. The site was getting about a dozen visitors/day towards the end (that's after being left alone for well over 2 years!). It still has some directory links pointing to it.
Bottom line is that this is a pretty good name in a rich industry with significant potential. You can take what I've built or you can just take the name and develop your own idea.
What I am looking for: offers of feedback/opinions. If you think I'm full of it expecting to get something for this site, tell me and I wont be offended. I do ask that you dont offer me $10 or $20. The programming effort alone is worth well over $10k...
I would suggest you find a business broker to list this site through. You'll get the highest price for it that way (in my opinion), but the negatives are that you'll have to pay a commision to the broker (make sure it comes from the sale price and not upfront), and it can be a long process to wait through.
If you're going to go thru a broker I would also suggest you invest a few hours into promoting the site again too. If you can display a traffic stream it increases the business value greatly.
You could easily find a buyer for the domain name, but I doubt you'll ever get what you're loking for that way. There a million wedding related domains available (and still to be registered) that prospective domain buyers will point out to you. I think your value here is the content. It sounds like a full business ready for someone to take over, so that's the route I would go with it were I you.
Hope that helps and best wishes,
