Where do I start? Well I have been with VDI for almost a year (9
½ months to be exact) and I have been nothing short of
extremely happy with their service. I have a dedicated server
with them (I jumped on the January special they were doing, too
good of a deal to pass up!). Everything has been fine until about
1 month ago, something bad happened, my dedicated server
hard drive failed, and the data arm basically broke. It was a
disaster, all data loss, and no backups were available (It was my
fault there were no backups; I didn't configure the backup script
to go on the second HD that was not being in use). I had been
having problems with the server before this crash, but it was
really something that couldn't be prevented, because there were
no bad sectors on the drive. Anyway in less than 48 hours they
tried to do the following: Use parts from other HDs with the bad
ones on the failed drive, recover all data on the HD, figure out
why this all happened, and keep me calm throughout the hours
of this tragic incident. To rectify the problem they installed two
new 40GB HDs with Raid-0 (I previously had two 30GB HDs, with
no raid) and two months of service for free, plus I wasn't charged
for the tech time used to fix the problem ! Which gave me a
chance to make it up to my customers by giving them two months
of free service, plus with the 10 extra GB of HD space, I upgraded
all of their plans. Since then, everything has been excellent and I
couldn't be happier about their service, the speeds are excellent
and customer service is top notch. They are even monitoring my
server to see if any problems occur again since the incident .

I think you can attribute a lot of that to CPanel.
Also, I saw a post or two the other day from him. I do miss the Bill and Sean soap opera threads. I was always entertaining.
