Maybe this is a good opportunity to drop forever the FP extensions from all Linux boxes. Not just about the hole...but because of all the mess usually cause, because sometimes some clients make me feel like I'm a Microsoft support staff, asking me on "how to" about Frontpage (& FP extensions). I can't really accept work for Microsoft even with this indirect way
I wonder who was the 'brilliant' mind to think first of the FP extensions as a Linux box's component. Who started this? Who?
There is no news from RTR yet (they are who 'brilliantly' ported Frontpage extension to Linux and other platforms). Stay tuned on their news page for confirmation (http://www.rtr.com/fpsupport/whatsnew.htm).
I really wish FP extension is open source, so we don't have to rely too much on Microsoft especially on security front.
