Merchant account For The UK
Are there any merchant accounts for the UK?
I realise there are loads of US ones out there like:
2checkout.com and hostcharge.com
but use UK/international users lose out on charges. We can only accept mastercard & visa and a load of other US cards. We need UK cards like Solo, Switch as a lot of people buying hosting packages use Solo as they are not old enough to have a "Proper" card. I have been looking into netbanx but they require you to have a business account with merchant status before taking payments. Netbanx seems to offer a bureau service but its doesn't provide much info on this do you need a business account? do you need merchant status? these are questions that It doesn't provide the answers to easily. So do you have any recommendations? Thanx

I would seriously think twice about using Paypal.
I've heard too many stories, seen their non-cooperation when a friend got scammed by a bad auction, and it just looks unprofessional to take payments from paypal as a business (UNLESS it's just as an additional option, and not your only source of payment).
When someone only takes paypal I always feel like I am seeing someone running a business off of a yahoo website...that they are either too cheap or too unsuccessful to get a real provider.
