    analyzing proftpd logs

with webalizer, you can analyze apache logs and determine bandwidth usage and what not.

i was wondering if there were any programs like that that analyze proftpd logs so i could see how much bw is being transmitted through ftp alone, or for a certain user.... ya know?

i am specificallly looking for one that will be able to tell me that 'bob' transferred 50gb etc

if not, just a general one would be great.

proftpd is what i use so i am specifically looking for one for proftpd.

if anyone knows of any please list them!

    thanks

    analog?

You might want to look at analog (www.analog.cx) as my tech guys says you can do that type of logging. I haven't tried it though so your mileage may vary.

Analog works great for this - I use Webalizer for web sites and Analog for my FTP. You have to customize Analog a bit so that it presents the right information because it comes from the box expecting to analyze web logs.
