A friend of mine just got a Dell Poweredge 6650 with 12GB of DDR266 Memory. We are looking to colocate the box and host game servers (CoD4). I'm not afraid about the processors so much (Dual Quad-Xeon's @ 2.7GHz), but I'm not sure about the memory speed.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks,
Ryan

Since you won't actually be playing games on the server, you shouldn't worry about it too much.

Its like almost 2 1/2 processor running the server game, and with 12GB, it will sure be fine, for other client/players to login or connect to the server to play the game. Just make sure your hard disk won't run out of storage.

seems good make sure you get a decent upload speed. I ran a game mod and used a large amount of ram over 2gb but thats because it was a zombie mod.
