Hi, I'm currently using hostgator to host my blog, The quality of services and support is great. but I can't afford to pay $9.95 monthly because my blog only earn less than $5. What I need is reliable hosting with less than $5 a month and pay monthly. Many hostgator competitor have meet my requirement but all of them need to pay yearly which I can't afford. Is it possible to get a good host with less than $5 a month????I don't need unlimted bandwidth or storage but don't be to small just in case I need more storage or bandwidth.
thanks

What are your current requirements for space / bandwidth? You should probably shop for what you need now, rather than what you need in future as its easy enough to upgrade a plan - since your budget does not permit you to get a lot at current.

Most places will only give you a discount if you prepay for at least like a year. I have hosting a ResellerZoom and i pay monthly $6.95 with a decent quality service.

What I need atm around 1Gb Storage and about 10Gb Bandwidth, and also fast server. I'm trying with a free web hosting but it's way too slow.
I saw http://www.sharkspace.com/ advertisement on the top right corner and It's look like a good plan with 50% that will cost me $4.95 but I couldn't see many review around(outside WHT)
does this company reliable??I used powweb in the past and it was great and cheap, my server gone offline for 2 days and they give 2 month free, but I seen many bad review about them lately and the other problem is they didn't use cpanel so when I need to add domain I have to manual set on .httpaccess.

I've been using GoDaddy for about 5 years. I've never had any problems, and their customer support is top notch. They've got great download speeds too.

I wouldn't call GoDaddy hosting hosting and/or hosting support top notch in any way/shape/form from personal experience in dealing with them and their service...
However they are great when it comes to Domain Names.

Are you really using 1GB right now? I'm going to assume you're using Wordpress. Which let's say takes 50MB for the installation. Total of 100MB with plugins and a new theme.
Log into your cPanel to see current usage and post your exact usage here.

Agreed. GoDaddy doesn't specialize in hosting services, but they aren't that bad IMO. As far as support, they've been overall good in answering my questions. I agree, their domain services are great!

1gb space and 10gb bandwidth is what most sites can get away with and you'll most likely save a lot more money because packages this size are less likely to be oversold. Check the offers section with packages with low specs.
and I agree..goDaddy should just remain a domain registrar, not even their support with domains is top notch, I was just lucky I learned how to do everything I had to do with domains quickly lol.

I think your best bets will be found out of the offers forum. Most reliable web hosting will start at around $5.00 because regardless of business model, you reach a point of is it even worth hosting you if it is much less then this. Maybe you can get a coupon from the offers forum that will be a reoccurring discount of so much $ or a reoccurring % discount which should hopefully yield you hosting in the budget you requested.
Your best bet would probably just be looking for hosting right at the $5 mark.

I completely agree, man. Their wait times and lack of knowledge with some of their tech support was a waste of time for me. They are great when it comes to domain services and should stick to that but I guess they needed to branch out in other areas to make up for the costs they were losing out of selling cheap domain services. One other thing I absolutely hate about GoDaddy is their site. Even with a highspeed connection it's an absolute pain to browse through their sites to get where you want.

Check out ASmallOrange.com I used to be with them until I needed a dedicated server. Great company.

I'm using A Small Orange for my forum too. Overall speed is acceptable and so far no downtime encountered. The forum has been up for about 6 months now.
And I think ASO will suit your needs because they bill monthly and I'm currently paying $5 per month.
