Anyone know why DV2 is hard to get a hold of on weekends?
Anyone have a similar problem?
I've had a server that went down twice on a Sunday (yeah bad luck isnt it), and on both ocasions I've noticed that it took the people at DV2 about 6-7hrs to fix a problem which would normally take a few minutes at other dedicated providers..
Am I alone in this scenario?

Do you not have a remote reboot?
If not, I would strongly advise it. Also, I have never had the problem you describe reaching them on a weekend.

I have a remote reboot console.. Did a reboot on there, still down... I think it requires a manual FSCK... but there is no tech there to handle this problem...
I have servers at: NetDepot/GNAX (A), SoftLayer (A), LiquidWeb (B+), DedicatedNow (B+), Nectartech (B) and more!

I've never had a problem with them on weekends. They've always been there for me even in the middle of the night.

Well, right now my server is down and it has been down for well over 8 hours with no one at DV2 helping me. I have contacted their phone numbers, left a support ticket at eservers, sent an email to DV2.
Maybe its just bad luck, but its happened to me twice in as little as a month.I have servers at: NetDepot/GNAX (A), SoftLayer (A), LiquidWeb (B+), DedicatedNow (B+), Nectartech (B) and more!

I think it's better for you to start tracking down the cause of the crash. Anyway, having no one to help you on weekends in such urgent case is a bad thing. I hope DV2 can clarify the issue.

Normally they are fast to respond and sort issues out promptly.
Recently support has taken a nose dive, I hope sailor will be able to tell us why this is so, and hopefully offer an action to sort out the lack of support. I say this because normally tickets are responded to within 30 mins. I have had a ticket open 5 / 6 days now.

I believe some new routers and bandwidth being hooked up as we speak? Not to excuse the lack of response which I find very unusual. I hope the guys in "The Den" are OK?

13 hour later the server is finally back, they will be explaining on why it took so long to get a tech to get to the server. When we were with rackshack it didnt even take this long. 13 hours is a joke.
If your interested in Dv2/transact servers don't bother.Clustered Hosting With Continuous Data Protection (CDP)

I feel for you Robert, I wouldn't have any nails left after 13 hours.
I was considering a DV2 server for a client who needed deicated, after that I think I'll re-think that decision.http://www.sonichost.net
