i need expert opinions to decide with route to go between ServInt or Mosso.
a little background. my current setup which is also another VPS of about 3 years is becoming really slow and email problems have become routine and frustrating. i have about 10 websites hosted on the system but only 2 sites receive high traffic (40-50k uniques/month) but another site has more than 10GB in emails but no traffic.
i tried finding more accurate reviews on MOSSO but most are either old when the system was young and troublesome but no real reviews on how it is now, 2009, or about the loading speed, handling of CMS like Drupal/ExpressionEngine, or database query speed, overall response and those sort of information for people that actually run sites with reasonable traffic or important emails.
while ServInt has a lot of good reviews going for it, it is still limited to resources at hand unless you upgrade.
i'm looking for provider that could i stay with for the next 3-4 years minimum. i don't like to keep moving around, i'm looking for something very reliable, great speed and hassle-free .
please help me and share your experience with these 2 providers.
the more you tell me the better and more confident i could decide.
thank you
Bam

Use search, they have both been discussed here before. If your VPS is becoming slow, chances are it might become slow on Servint too, so make sure you don't actually need a dedicated server before making the switch, as you might be slightly disappointed.

that's what i thought at first. but the thing is the traffic on the sites have dropped by half since last year, and at their peak traffic there was no problem what so ever. speed was great, no down time, and no problems with email. i personally think the hosting company is filling each server with as many VPS clients as possible. i've put in a request to be moved to a less crowded server but they won't do it.
dedicated system is overkill for my current needs, at least half of the system resources would go to waste, i've studied this option very seriously.
could you tell me what the problems are with MOSSO or ServInt that you won't recommend, i'm really interested to know ... i really don't want to go from bad to worse!

From what I've read Servint is pretty good, as for Mosso: http://status.mosso.com/. Their services are completely different, one is a cloud/grid and one offers dedicated servers and virtual private servers.

ServInt is a very good host. They were one of the first to offer Virtual Private Servers back in 2003 and they perfected their VPS product range since then.
I suggest that you contact their sales department, describe your needs and ask for VPS recommendation. Even if the server you start with turns out not powerful enough, ServInt will give you a free test ride on a higher model so that you could see if it meets your expectations.

I don't know. According to what he's doing, it doesn't seem like he needs a "vps" or "dedicated" which will allow him to have root access. He's grown frustrated with it. Cloud hosting can be great for those who can fit within the framework of that platform.

As far as I know, there's no long-term contract from Mosso. They are paid on a monthly basis. So why not pay as you go and see how they perform? If it turns bad, just leave anytime you want.
I can't speak for Mosso cloud sites, but I'm currently on cloud servers which are quite good. They are simple yet fulfills what they promised.
