I'm not experienced with linux or web hosting software and I want to find a way to get my cPanel or WHM to send the backups it does to my amazon s3 storage account.
Now I know this can be done as I've see lots of places around the web talk about it. I'm not experienced enough to do it so to just get it done and setup I'm willing to pay someone.
My VPS is at ServInt.net running on Centos5 with WHM/cPanel. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I hope this is in the right forum, really sorry if not.

Is your provider managed? I recommend you get help from them if that's the case. The reason being it requires dropping down to the shell level and messing with scripts and so on. It's simple when you're familiar with managing a server but otherwise challenging.
There are also plenty of people here that would take the "job" and do it. It shouldn't take more than 10mns to setup.
Regards

That's part of the problem. My host is managed and I've contacted them about it and what I want done but they don't want to do it. They say they don't do consulting work. Their service has been fantastic and the only down time I've had was my own fault so I don't want to change hosts but it's frustrating when they won't do something like this.
At this point I'm tired of messing around with it all and just want to pay someone to get the dang thing done.

You can try the system admin offers/requests section and post a request for help on getting this done and it shouldn't be too hard
Good luck

How can a services company refuse to help out its own customer? This is absurd...bull. I'll certainly be glad to help out off line if you can't find anyone; no money involved.

That's basically what I told them and said I'll most likely be looking for a new provider. Other than this they've been great though and I have 10+ sites on my account which I'm nervous about moving. I have my accounts setup how I like them, lol.
I'm waiting for a reply from my web host to see if I can be mean enough to get them to do it. I'm usually too nice and I think they just blow me off or something. What's strange is I'm offering to upgrade my VPS ($49 - $89/m) if they will do it and I don't think they will anyway. We'll see what they say. I'll be back, lol.

You could look into using duplicity (http://duplicity.nongnu.org/), which supports backups to s3. You'd probably want to set WHM to incremental backup, then tell duplicity to backup /backups.
Make sure if you do this you look into calling duplicity from /scripts/postcpbackup. That should prevent race conditions or cron calling duplicity too early (before the backup was complete).

Thanks for the help everyone! I ended up getting s3sync running on my own! :-D I was pretty chicken to dig in myself but it was actually pretty easy and I learned a few things in the process without goofing anything on my server up, lol.
For anyone else who might be interested I used this site http://shapeshed.com/journal/automating_backups_with_amazon_s3_on_linux/
