Just a note: We also allow IRC!

I am a current customer of Obtrix and have been for around a good 6 months.
They certainly have good quality support and dedication.
I have not really had any troubles with Obtrix, except from maybe a slow server, or laggy IPv6. But these problems were quickly fixed.
Certainly a positive thing that they allow IRC, as I have had troubles with ports with providers that said they had "Allowed IRC", but nothing like that has occured with Obtrix.
All in all, a great host, and one I am going to stick with for a long time coming.

I myself am a former customer of Obtrix. I had a VPS with them for about 4 or 5 months. The only reason I was staying was because of the low price. However as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The VPS I recieved from them was dreadfully slow, the connection died out every couple days. Not only was the server bad but so was the support! The owner and only person in charge went away for two weeks leaving the torrentboxes down for an extended period of time along with there being no support being recieved. Also, the help desk may be 24/7, but the staff are surely not. Bhavic, the owner, was only ever avaiable for a cuople hours a day, when he wasnt on vacation, and it wasn't even every day that he was on. What ultimately ended my service with obtrix was how unsecure the servers were. The entire VPS server was corrupted due to an exploit that lead to all of the clients losing all of their data.
My advice to everyone, stay away from obtrix... It's the worst provider you will ever come accross.

I'm sad that you feel this way Cameron:
Cameron was placed on the DDOS Protected network which does not have the best connection for IRC (Which is what he means as "the connection died out every couple days" - his BNC would ping and then join back a few seconds later.) Let alone for IPv6 which is what he used.
Also we have many support staff, and Bhavic isn't the only owner. The owner and only person in charge went away for two weeks leaving the torrentboxes down for an extended period of time along with there being no support being recieved I assume your reffering to the few seedbox servers which were down in late december last year. This was not because of no support but infact of another issue. And we were constantly updating SEEDBOX clients (which you were/are not) about the status of it.
Edit: I see you have now changed it to a HyperVM Exploit which i can say there are none of.
As for the OpenVZ Exploit which you seem to claim happened, I really don't know where you got this from. The server you were on suffered a HDD failure. (which you were told but refused to believe)
As i'm pretty sure OpenVZ has no exploits.
Then claiming a refund for "lost data" because he did not make any backups.
Anyway, Since then we have changed datacenters to offer a much better quality service at a affordable price. (Even for IRC!)
