A paradox, I have to say. To impose sanctions - yes, it's true, it works. To beat if child did something absolutely wrong and needs to learn a lesson once and for all - yes, it's true.
But not in that way which reminds me about concentration camps.
Not in the way that child should be afraid of parents coming back home.
This is the way to train almost perfect slave - not a free person. While agreeing with the fact of sanctions, disagree in everything else.

He is right in the sense that American kids these days get off the hook way to easy. I grew up old school Eastern European and I got my *** beat a lot and came out fine. Now I am not saying put your kid in the hospital but just let him know whose the boss. Once you start being lenient is when the kid thinks what he is doing maybe be actually right.
