    Pretty accurate!!
Many people sleep on their side. This popular position shows a small degree of insecurity, and often indicates growing stress overflowing from the sleeper's waking hours.

What if I sleep hanging from my feet, like a bat?

In this position—which utilizes a strategically positioned pillowcase—the sleeper reverts to infancy. It is clear this represents a longing for simpler times, as well as a profound urge to "go poopy."
Wow, now we know what Aussie Bob's sleeping position means

joke aside, there are numerous reasons for sleeping on the side.
reason #1 - the most important - heart is a bit to the left side of the chest. if you lay on your left side, it takes more pressure and has a harder time beating. laying on right hand side makes it have less pressure.
reason #2 - if you lay on your back, your tongue may obstruct your throat and make your breathing harder
reason #3 - we generally use pillows. laying on your back whilst using a pillow puts neck in an uncomfortable position, and rather disturbs the spine in neck area.
reason #4 - some people are rather heavy on weight. moreover many people have some fat around their stomach area, even if they are fit. laying backwards makes these weight pressurize internal organs. laying to the side does not pressure as much.

I want to know why the only position to stop me from snoring is to lie on my right side?? Any ideas?

I have noticed something about that too. Is it perhaps wind pipe related? Or how the air flows through the mouth/nose?
