Hi, I have been running a small webserver with my personal websites for about 3 years now and i have been slowly building a larger network for me to further and start maybe one day becoming a webhost
the problem i am faced with is at the moment is i have no idea how to set up or where to start looking for some sort of automated signup script or software which would allow users to access there website instantaneous.
is there any scripts or software out there which anyone could send me in the right direction?
it was a while back when i was speaking with some about a script that worked with apache etc to do this but weeks of looking havnt found nothing
must be windows based

The two key software packages you will be interested in will be cPanel and WHMCS.
cPanel is the actual control panel that will allow your clients to mange their websites. WHMCS is one of the best Sign Up automation scripts available at the moment. It manages all the billing, support and orders through your web hosting company. It can then work together with cPanel to create the accounts instantly.
Jumping on the websites for each bits of software should give you more information, as I am not sure about the Windows based requirement. I have no experience in that field.

thank you for the quick reply, i shal have a look at that, it sounds very good.
so using these programs would give me my signup & billing and accounts, by any chance would they set up the dir's and the databases etc

As of the moment, CPanel will only work in Linux. They are still developing for the windows.
I recommend Linux though.
For automated account script, I recommend clientexec.com also.

I use WHMCS, it's great.
