I don't think Phonepower advertises on WHT however as an internet user im sure most of you have seen the phonepower advertisements. I have tried alot of VOIP providers, AT&T, Vonage, Comcast Phone (I have comcast internet), and a few other small companies.
The AT&T we had was great when our comcast area was owned by Adelphia.net & utilized att as it's internet backbone. Now that comcast has taken over Adelphia.net in our area that advantage no longer exists so the at&t quality dropped. Im not even sure if at&t offers the phone service anymore, it was call vantage, it's not marketed here now.
We did vonage for awhile and while the quality was good the customer service is outsourced and trying to speak to anyone there is horrendous, they are like AOL used to be at removing accounts they won't cancel you per your request.
Comcasts phone service was a joke, when the technician came to install the service he had to call colorado to get the service running, the blackberry device he had wouldn't work so he was on my cellphone for 2 hours, no, nobody offered to reimburse me for my cellphone minutes and I was charged a setup fee for his installation.
I stumbled upon an ad for phonepower about a year ago and decided to give them a try. We got our device really fast after ordering, box was a little smashed up but I can't blame them for that. Customer service is great, they even have live chat! I've never attempted to call them for service so im not sure how that's handled but the livechat option is fantastic, they also answer emails real quick.
I have never noticed an outage in the service, never had a problem, it has been great. The pricing is right, they run promotions from now-and-then for free international calling, the control panel is easy-to-use, I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.

I can also vouch for them. I've been using phonepower for a little over a year now, I believe. Their phone support is FANTASTIC, and the live chat and email options are a nice bonus. I've been notified well in advance of any scheduled downtime, which has always been done in the late night hours so as to prevent problems for most people.
Overall I'm very happy with PhonePower, and I recommend them any time someone asks about VOIP service.

sorry gotta bump this. I unfortunately had to cancel the service due to Comcast. I downgraded because of the new bandwidth restrictions and there was so much jitter after downloading to 1mbit I couldn't use the service.
I paid for a full month of phonepower, had to cancel because of this. PhonePower won't honor a partial refund, understandable. However they are also asking that I pay to send their modem back. The way I see it since they did bill me for a full month and we only used 10 days of service, some lee-way could be provided to help cover what it's going to cost to send this modem of theirs back. They are stating no partial refunds, I don't recall agreeing to paying to send their equipment back.
So the service is good, just don't cancel it mid-month or your going to get taken advantage of, it's ashame that we still have companies that take money without providing a service. They did cancel the account, can't even login to my account area. So thumbs up to another company that takes money for nothing.

You should blame comcast for not providing decent bandwidth. I believe even their lowest offering should work fine.
