Hey there everyone, I came to this forum because I was looking at unlimited web hosting packages that I found for cheap. I don't want to get ripped off or have to struggle with anything so I was looking at reviews and can't seems to find a solid host. Are any of these cheap hosting companies actually reliable? I'm looking to spend about $60ish dollars for at least 6 months oh hosting so if anyone has any idea of a good host please let me know.

I would advise you stay away from unlimited hosting. You should be able to find something in the Offers Section that suits your budget.
All the best,

there is no such thing as unlimited hosting, unlimited hosting is hosting that is being oversold.
You can't have an unlimited space computer, So why would you expect unlimited space hosting?
Companies offering such services are overselling.
I'll explain what overselling is:
Company A has a 10GB server
Jane buys hosting off company A and gets a 6GB account
Jack buys hosting off company A and gets a 6GB account
Jane uses 3GB's of space, and Jack uses only 2GB.
Everything is going ok.
Company A still has 5GB of space left, and they sell a 6GB account to John.
John uses 5 GB's and fills the server, Jack,Jane and John's sites are now going crazy with MySQL errors and nobody can add any more files, Jack,Jane and John go buy hosting somewhere else.
Overselling can work if done correctly by a company, but it can go terribly wrong.

With the budget you mentioned you should have no problem finding a decent plan with a reliable host, most people buy way more resources than they really need. Check the offers section.
Good luck with your new host

Agreed, your budget is in line with a reliable web hosting company that doesn't provider unlimited hosting.
I saw two problems with your thread brianzbl. For one, unlimited hosting doesn't exist. For two, cheap unlimited hosting not only doesn't exist, but... lol I'm not sure what to say about it... lets see....
I give up, just go with a provider who will give you a decent amount of disk space and bandwidth,as you don't need unlimited space nor unlimited bandwidth. You didn't specify much about if your just making a website, or if you currently have a web site, so I'll just make some assumptions.
If you already have a web site, take your total space and your total bandwidth usage per month, find a host with which offers a bit more then what your currently using and is in your budget, and if the host looks professional, give them a try.
In all honestly, it's about what your real needs are instead of some absurd amounts of space/bandwidth offers which are cheap. Tell us what your real needs are, and let us help you better.
If you don't have a website yet, simply start on a non-unlimited web hosts smaller web hosting package, say for example 1-2GB of space and 10-20 GB of bandwidth, or so. Upgrade as you need to, and this will save you money

1. Yes it is true, there is no such thing as unlimited hosting.
2. You can get about the same amount of space from an "unlimited" web hosting site as you can a site that limits the space.
3. It really doesn't matter because most hosts give you plenty of space with your shared hosting accounts and if it is not enough then you should have a dedicated server anyways.

lol you came to this forum for unlimited hosts, trust me when I say that you are much better off when you know your limit, that gives you an idea of when to stop and when to upgrade, having no limits just lets you fly blindly. You'll probably overuse the resources and have your account suspended at one point or another

Your going to be ripped offer, almost a guarantee. There is no such thing as 'unlimited'.

Whether or not you get ripped off solely depends on what sort of expectations you have from unlimited plans. How reliable do you need it to be? What do you plan on hosting?

Thanks everyone, I was just checking because I thought it would be nice to have no limits, but all the advice is great. I knew there technically cant be unlimited hosting, but I was assuming you would get a lot. Im gunna trust all the negative reviews on "Unlimited" hosting plans. Thanks again

Wise decision, because eventually you would have regretted it and posted here "You were all right, I should have listened ...".
Assuming your budget is still $10 per month, how much disk space/bandwidth do you think you'll actually use?

There are some companies that offer unlimited hosting such as Hostgator.com and know what they are doing. There are a lot of coupons for hostgator, google is your friend.

Well I currently had the GoDaddy Deluxe hosting, which was nice and all but I want to host multiple domains, not just one. Also the servers got a bit slow at times so that got sort of frustrating. I'd just like a hundred gigs of space and 50 gigs of bandwidth or so, but the real key I need is at least 3 or 4 domains and unlimited sub domains. I'm gunna start looking around tonight and tomarrow.
