Hello,
I am looking for a good reseller that can offer my clients subdomains as separate accounts. Most important is server uptime, I don't want my client's website to be down. Also, control panel for client, and offers good bandwidth. Thank you.

Sincerely,

John

John:
If your servers uptime is very important to you, you may want to look for a company who has their servers in a NOC that doesn't have trouble with keeping their connections up.

I'd concur with Venturesonline for the sub-domains. Though due to VDI's recent problem people from Alabanza and other NOC's seem to think that they are perfect. Pay no attention to those people, VO has great support, great prices and all around a great product.

Did you specifically mean "separate accounts." I believe that most subdomains are set up to point to a directory in the main account. Do you want each subdomain to have its own cpanel, etc?

For example: successfulhosting.com will point subdomains to the main home page for free. They will point to a subdirectory (sharing your resources) but require a separate account (or is it just additional payment?).

Hostgo.com will give you 5 sites for the cost of one (sharing resources), although it may not be obvious from their site.

But, as far as hosting resources go I am a venturesonline fan.

Gary

I absolutely agree with you that VO is a great company, has great support and great pricing.

But it looks like you are implying that we think we are perfect. If you misinterpreted what I said, let me clarify it for you.

John's comment was that uptime is the most important thing for him. Alabanza has had major problems as well as VDI. I was telling him that if uptime was his major concern, he should look at all providers, not just VDI and Alabanza based. If VDI's NOC and Alabanza's NOC were the only one's out there, then the comparison should be based on the providers that deal within these NOC's only. However, he may want to look at other companies that do not exclusively use these NOC's. Let's face it. Nobodys perfect. Not Alabanza. Not VDI, not any company that uses these NOCs, and certainly not us.

Thanks.
I was wondering if anyone would notice, if anyone actually reads the signatures.

I could not stop laughing for about an hour after thinking of it. However, it may have a limited appeal and I am sure I will grow tired of it soon.

thanks for all the feedback. what i meant by subdomains is that i want clients to have a totally separate account. The only thing they share in comman is that they share the same domain name (aka anything.domainname.com).

John,

I'd still suggest VO, I do believe (though I haven't tested it) that Cpanel allows you to set FTP accounts to each sub-domain. Don't quote me on that but I'm pretty sure.
